Aucxis LED-wand Euroveiling

The Belgian flower auction Euroveiling asked Aucxis to replace its clock front by a multifunctional LED wall of 75m² displaying its five clocks. The numerous advantages of LED technology – perfect image quality, improved buying experience for the auction room buyers, flexibility in layout, integrated display of product pictures etc. – have convinced Euroveiling to replace its clock fronts by a dynamic LED wall.

In order to provide an even better service to both buyers and growers, Euroveiling’s new management team is continuously striving to improve its auction infrastructure and auction process. “Despite the digitisation in our sector, the auction room with 510 seats is still the beating heart of Euroveiling”, says financial director Johan Peeters. “It is worthwhile to choose this path of innovation and to continue to invest in our auction room. In order to increase the buying comfort of our auction room buyers, we have decided to replace our five clock fronts – built from LED clock circles and text bars – by five individual multi-colour LED walls of 15m² per clock.”

Flexible and versatile

Besides the perfect image quality, the endless flexibility of the LED wall is one of the main reasons for Euroveiling to opt for LED technology. “We elaborate a basic layout in collaboration with the customer but afterwards, Euroveiling is free to use our LED Designer software to customise the display,” explains E-Trade account manager Steff Lyssens.

Today Euroveiling shows the product pictures of the lot which is sold on TVs mounted on the wall but from now on these images, as well as the extra information such as quality and grower logos, will be displayed directly on the LED wall. Furthermore, the clock front will also be used for other purposes, like playing videos or showing presentations.

“Thanks to the crystal-clear image on the LED walls and the flexible layout and display of the product information on the clock, we lift our auction room buyers’ buying experience to a higher level,” says Johan Peeters.

“LED clock fronts last for many years without a deterioration in quality and are almost maintenance-free,”, concludes Steff Lyssens. “The modular design enables a smooth installation and, furthermore, the five individual walls will form an aesthetically beautiful whole.”

The installation of the LED walls is planned for the autumn and will be completed in phases in order to avoid hindering the operation of the auction.
